CHILD-LEAD LEARNING
The forest school environment is not just a fun opportunity to light fires and roast marshmallows. It is also an opportunity for your child to manage risk, tolerate discomfort, and test their knowledge and understanding in the real world.
In previous camps and after-school programmes, children have designed their own "Forest School Games", built a zip line, and taught their peers to set a fire. Through play, they have developed entire face paint shop businesses with sales people, designers, and artists as well as cavepeople cultures rich with community weavers, chiefs, chefs, guards, and inter-village diplomacy. They've discovered how plants sense the world around them, studied ecosystem food webs, and learnt bird language.
